چکیده

We study provably effective and efficient data reduction for a class of NP-hard graph modification problems based on vertex degree properties. We show fixed-parameter tractability for NP-hard graph completion (that is, edge addition) cases while we show that there is no hope to achieve analogous results for the corresponding vertex or edge deletion versions. Our algorithms are based on transforming graph completion problems into efficiently solvable number problems and exploiting f factor computations for translating the results back into the graph setting. Our core observation is that we encounter a win-win situation: either the number of edge additions is small or the problem is polynomialtime solvable. This approach helps in answering an open question by Mathieson and Szeider [JCSS 2012] concerning the polynomial kernelizability of Degree Constraint Edge Addition and leads to a general method of approaching polynomial-time preprocessing for a wider class of degree sequence completion problems.

Destructive Effects of Prenatal WIN 55212-2 Exposure on Central Nervous System of Neonatal Rats

Background: Cannabinoid, particularly hashish and WIN 55212-2 (WIN), consumption during embryonic period may affect fetal growth, and the development of motor functioning, memory and cognitive functions. Therefore, the present study aimed to evaluate the effects of WIN 55212-2 during embryonic period on behavioral responses, as well as tissue and memory changes among neonatal rats. Methods: WIN...

بررسی اثرات مخرب مصرف WIN 55212-2، آگونیست گیرنده کانابینویید، در دوران حاملگی بر عملکرد سیستم اعصاب مرکزی نوزادان موش‌های صحرایی

Introduction: Cannabinoid consumption including hashish and WIN55212-2 during pregnancy has destructive affect on the development of fetus and the performance of CNS. Method: WIN treated group received daily 0.5 or 1mg/kg WIN suspended in 1% tween 80 saline (s.c.) at a volume of 1 ml/kg from days 5 to 20 of pregnancy. Third, fifth and seventh weeks after birth, the effects of maternal WIN ...

Changes in motor and learning behaviors of rats prenatally exposed to WIN 55212-2, a cannabinoid receptor agonist

Abstract* Introduction: Cannabis consumption during pregnancy may affect fetal growth, motor performance, memory and cognitive functions. Methods: Primiparous pregnant Wistar rats were randomly assigned to 4 treatment groups (6 rats per group) consisting of control and sham groups as well as 2 groups treated with Win. Win treated groups received daily s.c. injections of 0.5 or 1 mg/kg WIN ...

Role of Nitric Oxide in the Antipruritic Effect of WIN 55,212-2, a Cannabinoid Agonist

Introduction: For centuries, cannabinoids are known to be effective in pain relief. Itch is an unpleasant sensation that provokes a desire to scratch. Since itch and pain are two sensations sharing a lot in common, we aimed to investigate whether the cannabinoid agonist WIN 55,212-2 reduces serotonin-induced scratching behavior and also observe whether modulation of nitric oxide (NO) production...

Conceptual Design Model based Requirements Analysis in the WinWin Framework for Concurrent Requirements Engineering1

The WinWin framework provides a domain independent framework for the stakeholders to collaborate and negotiate in the requirements engineering phase of the software lifecycle. Requirements engineering in the framework leads to defining a win-win requirements model expressed using a set of conceptual elements that record stakeholder’s objectives, constraints, concerns and negotiated agreements. ...
